Alvin Ulrich pictured with his wife Barb, retired as a director for Buffalo Lake-New Auburn Mutual Insurance Company on March 22, 2011. Alvin served on the board as a director for twenty-eight years, and he also served as President.

This educational scholarship was established by the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies, Inc. (MAFMIC) for presentation to one or more Minnesota high school graduating seniors.
